What does a month of training in Thailand cost?

The short answer
A training month is four costs, not one: the training package, accommodation, food, and the flight. The training is usually the smallest of the four, which is why comparing camps on package price alone tells you almost nothing about what your month will cost.
We do not publish a monthly figure because we have not verified pricing at most camps, and a made-up range is worth less than an honest gap. Where we have confirmed prices with a camp, they are on the camp page. Where we have not, the page says so.
What we can tell you is which lever moves the total. Region moves it most: the same training routine in the rural northeast and in a Phuket beach town are different budgets entirely, mostly through rent and food rather than through training fees.
The second lever is accommodation choice. On-site camp rooms are convenient and priced for it. Renting locally for a month usually costs less and buys you more space, at the cost of a commute and some admin.
The third is how you eat. Camp food and local food are cheap. Importing your diet from home is not, and that is where budgets quietly break.
- Training fees: package price, plus any private sessions.
- Accommodation: camp room, guesthouse or local rent.
- Food: local eating is cheap, imported eating is not.
- Flights and getting to the camp.
- The gear you buy on arrival, once.
Worth knowing
Any site quoting one number for the cost of a month in Thailand is quoting one camp in one region in one season. Ask which.
