Camp against camp

Eminent Air Muay Thai or Luktupfah Muay Thai

Two camps in Bangkok, set against each other on what each one publishes about itself. Nothing below is our opinion of either.

The short version

A private session is 1,200 THB at Eminent Air Muay Thai and 1,500 THB at Luktupfah Muay Thai. They line up on 3 of the lines both camps publish.

Eminent Air Muay Thai

A day covering both sessions is 800 and ten sessions 4,500, the ten valid for three months from the day they are booked; ten privates are 9,000. The gym is open Monday to Friday, 06:30 to 19:00, and the two sessions inside that are both labelled fighters' training. The 07:30 one is a 10 km run, shadow boxing, four or five rounds on the bags, four or five on the pads, sparring and clinching, then weights and conditioning. The 15:30 one is a 5 km run, fifteen minutes of rope, half an hour of clinch work and sparring, bags, pads and conditioning. Every figure here sits on a page whose footer still reads 2022 and whose own counter says twenty-five years from a 1997 founding, so these are the prices the gym last published rather than prices it quoted this week.

Luktupfah Muay Thai

The month line stays blank because the one month unlimited is quoted on request rather than published, and there is no week product at all: the packs are ten classes for 3,500 valid three months, fifteen for 5,000 valid four months and twenty for 6,000 valid five months. A class is 500 for an adult and 250 for a child under ten, and a private is 1,500 an hour for an adult or 750 for 45 minutes for a child. Krabi Krabong is 1,500 a lesson booked in advance, and Muay Boran is sold as a course or a private rather than by the class. The nightly room line stays blank because the residential rate is quoted as a room and training together, 1,200 a day or 28,000 a month with every class included.

Against the country

Each line runs from the cheapest figure listed camps print for that rate to the dearest, with Eminent Air Muay Thai marked above the line, Luktupfah Muay Thai below it and the stretch between them inked. In baht, Eminent Air Muay Thai first, then Luktupfah Muay Thai: one group session the same at 500, inside a run of 550 that 31 of 44 listed camps print; one private at 1,200 and 1,500, 300 apart inside a run of 900 that 22 of 44 listed camps print. Rates only one of the two publishes are left out, because a line carrying one mark says nothing about two camps.

They quote the same figure on 2 lines: one group session and sessions a day.

Not settled here

What we cannot tell you yet

Neither camp has been confirmed on the lines below, so this page does not compare them. They are named rather than left off, because a comparison that only shows the fields it happens to hold is the shape of a page pretending to be complete.

In their own words

What each camp is

Eminent Air Muay Thai

A fighters' stable at the end of a residential lane off Sukhumvit 101, founded in 1997 by a Lumpini promoter and named after the air conditioner brand that has sponsored it ever since. One ring under a pitched roof with the sides open, walls carrying three decades of fight photographs, and a roster of stadium champions the gym names itself. The record has a gap worth reading twice: the only timetable published is labelled fighters' training, twice a day with sparring and clinching in both sessions, and a single session is sold to anybody who turns up for 500 baht. Nothing on the page says which of those two things a visitor gets. Closed Saturday and Sunday.

Luktupfah Muay Thai

A Bangkok school that teaches Muay Boran and Krabi Krabong alongside Muay Thai and certifies krus, which makes it the one camp on this list where the draw is the older material rather than a fight team. Two group sessions a day out in Prawet, rooms on site, and the traditional courses sold as private or course blocks rather than drop in.

What people ask about Eminent Air Muay Thai and Luktupfah Muay Thai

Every figure below is read off the two records at build time rather than written by hand, so a question neither camp has published anything behind is left out instead of answered softly.
Is Eminent Air Muay Thai or Luktupfah Muay Thai cheaper?
Neither. Eminent Air Muay Thai and Luktupfah Muay Thai both print a single group session at 500 baht. They both quote one other priced line, and Eminent Air Muay Thai is lower on one. A cheaper month is not a cheaper trip. Food, a room where the camp has none and the flight home all sit outside these figures, and a camp that is 2,000 baht dearer a month is the cheaper of the two the moment it saves you a daily taxi.
What is the difference between Eminent Air Muay Thai and Luktupfah Muay Thai?
One of the 3 lines both camps publish comes out different: a private session. They match on a single group session and how many sessions a day run. Eminent Air Muay Thai publishes a week of unlimited training and a month of unlimited training, and Luktupfah Muay Thai publishes whether there are rooms on site and whether beginners are taken. What separates two camps on the mats is the trainer you get put with, and no camp publishes that. Use the lines above to cut the list down, then ask both.
Is Eminent Air Muay Thai or Luktupfah Muay Thai better for a beginner?
Only one of them is placed either way. Luktupfah Muay Thai reads as a fit for a beginner and Eminent Air Muay Thai publishes nothing we could read it from, so its line stays blank rather than get a guess. That is a call made at a desk from what each camp publishes about who it trains, not a verdict from the mats. A gym built around a fight team will take a beginner's money and leave them holding pads at the back for a month, so ask both how a first session actually runs before you book either.
Can you stay at Eminent Air Muay Thai or Luktupfah Muay Thai?
Luktupfah Muay Thai says you can sleep at the camp. Eminent Air Muay Thai publishes nothing either way, so that line stays blank. Neither nightly rate is published, so the room line stays blank rather than get estimated off camps elsewhere that do print one. Staying in means the commute stops being a decision you make twice a day at five in the morning, which matters more than the saving on most trips shorter than a month.
How many sessions a day do Eminent Air Muay Thai and Luktupfah Muay Thai run?
The same number. Eminent Air Muay Thai and Luktupfah Muay Thai both run 2 sessions a day. That is how many are on offer and not how many anybody should plan on taking. A timetable says when the door is open; how many times you walk through it is most of the difference between a training holiday and a camp, and a first week of doubles is how people spend a second week injured.
How far apart are Eminent Air Muay Thai and Luktupfah Muay Thai?
About 8.7 km in a straight line, measured between the two pins rather than along a road, so a motorbike covers more ground than that and traffic decides the rest. Both camps sit in Bangkok. That is a ride rather than a walk, so trying both in one trip means picking a base and paying to cross, or splitting the stay in two.

Every figure on this page came off a camp’s own website on 2026-10-14. Camps change prices without changing the page the price is printed on. If one of these is wrong, or if you know a line neither camp publishes, tell us and we will date the change.
