Camp against camp

Khongsittha Muay Thai or Luktupfah Muay Thai

Two camps in Bangkok, set against each other on what each one publishes about itself. Nothing below is our opinion of either.

The short version

Khongsittha Muay Thai and Luktupfah Muay Thai publish the same figure on every price line they both quote. They line up on 4 of the lines both camps publish.

Khongsittha Muay Thai

The walk-in is a one-hour group class with gloves and wraps provided. Anything longer is sold as train and stay, which bundles the room: from 2,000 a day over three days, 1,750 over a fortnight, 933 over a month and 600 over three, so there is no training-only week or month rate to quote.

Luktupfah Muay Thai

The month line stays blank because the one month unlimited is quoted on request rather than published, and there is no week product at all: the packs are ten classes for 3,500 valid three months, fifteen for 5,000 valid four months and twenty for 6,000 valid five months. A class is 500 for an adult and 250 for a child under ten, and a private is 1,500 an hour for an adult or 750 for 45 minutes for a child. Krabi Krabong is 1,500 a lesson booked in advance, and Muay Boran is sold as a course or a private rather than by the class. The nightly room line stays blank because the residential rate is quoted as a room and training together, 1,200 a day or 28,000 a month with every class included.

Against the country

Each line runs from the cheapest figure listed camps print for that rate to the dearest, with Khongsittha Muay Thai marked above the line, Luktupfah Muay Thai below it and the stretch between them inked. In baht, Khongsittha Muay Thai first, then Luktupfah Muay Thai: one group session the same at 500, inside a run of 550 that 31 of 44 listed camps print. Rates only one of the two publishes are left out, because a line carrying one mark says nothing about two camps.

They quote the same figure on 4 lines: one group session, sessions a day, rooms on site and takes beginners.

What we cannot tell you yet

Neither camp has been confirmed on the lines below, so this page does not compare them. They are named rather than left off, because a comparison that only shows the fields it happens to hold is the shape of a page pretending to be complete.

  • A month, unlimited
  • Room, per night

In their own words

What each camp is

Khongsittha Muay Thai

Bangkok gym that manages to be well set up for visiting foreigners while keeping a serious Thai training culture. One of the more approachable ways into the Bangkok scene if the rural camps feel like too much.

The full record for Khongsittha Muay Thai

Luktupfah Muay Thai

A Bangkok school that teaches Muay Boran and Krabi Krabong alongside Muay Thai and certifies krus, which makes it the one camp on this list where the draw is the older material rather than a fight team. Two group sessions a day out in Prawet, rooms on site, and the traditional courses sold as private or course blocks rather than drop in.

What people ask about Khongsittha Muay Thai and Luktupfah Muay Thai

Every figure below is read off the two records at build time rather than written by hand, so a question neither camp has published anything behind is left out instead of answered softly.
Is Khongsittha Muay Thai or Luktupfah Muay Thai cheaper?
Neither. Khongsittha Muay Thai and Luktupfah Muay Thai both print a single group session at 500 baht. A cheaper month is not a cheaper trip. Food, a room where the camp has none and the flight home all sit outside these figures, and a camp that is 2,000 baht dearer a month is the cheaper of the two the moment it saves you a daily taxi.
What is the difference between Khongsittha Muay Thai and Luktupfah Muay Thai?
On paper, nothing. All 4 lines both camps publish come out the same, which is a real finding and not a gap in the record. Luktupfah Muay Thai publishes a private session and Khongsittha Muay Thai does not. What separates two camps on the mats is the trainer you get put with, and no camp publishes that. Use the lines above to cut the list down, then ask both.
Is Khongsittha Muay Thai or Luktupfah Muay Thai better for a beginner?
Both. Khongsittha Muay Thai and Luktupfah Muay Thai each read as a room somebody who has never trained can walk into. That is a call made at a desk from what each camp publishes about who it trains, not a verdict from the mats. A gym built around a fight team will take a beginner's money and leave them holding pads at the back for a month, so ask both how a first session actually runs before you book either.
Can you stay at Khongsittha Muay Thai or Luktupfah Muay Thai?
Both. Khongsittha Muay Thai and Luktupfah Muay Thai each say on their own site that you can sleep at the camp. Neither nightly rate is published, so the room line stays blank rather than get estimated off camps elsewhere that do print one. Staying in means the commute stops being a decision you make twice a day at five in the morning, which matters more than the saving on most trips shorter than a month.
How many sessions a day do Khongsittha Muay Thai and Luktupfah Muay Thai run?
The same number. Khongsittha Muay Thai and Luktupfah Muay Thai both run 2 sessions a day. That is how many are on offer and not how many anybody should plan on taking. A timetable says when the door is open; how many times you walk through it is most of the difference between a training holiday and a camp, and a first week of doubles is how people spend a second week injured.
How far apart are Khongsittha Muay Thai and Luktupfah Muay Thai?
About 13 km in a straight line, measured between the two pins rather than along a road, so a motorbike covers more ground than that and traffic decides the rest. Both camps sit in Bangkok. That is a ride rather than a walk, so trying both in one trip means picking a base and paying to cross, or splitting the stay in two.

Every figure on this page came off a camp’s own website. Khongsittha Muay Thai was read on 2026-09-02 and Luktupfah Muay Thai on 2026-10-14. Camps change prices without changing the page the price is printed on. If one of these is wrong, or if you know a line neither camp publishes, tell us and we will date the change.
