Camp against camp

Luktupfah Muay Thai or Sitsongpeenong

Two camps in Bangkok, set against each other on what each one publishes about itself. Nothing below is our opinion of either.

The short version

A single group session is 500 THB at Luktupfah Muay Thai and 600 THB at Sitsongpeenong. They line up on 3 of the lines both camps publish.

Luktupfah Muay Thai

The month line stays blank because the one month unlimited is quoted on request rather than published, and there is no week product at all: the packs are ten classes for 3,500 valid three months, fifteen for 5,000 valid four months and twenty for 6,000 valid five months. A class is 500 for an adult and 250 for a child under ten, and a private is 1,500 an hour for an adult or 750 for 45 minutes for a child. Krabi Krabong is 1,500 a lesson booked in advance, and Muay Boran is sold as a course or a private rather than by the class. The nightly room line stays blank because the residential rate is quoted as a room and training together, 1,200 a day or 28,000 a month with every class included.

Sitsongpeenong

The session rate is one a day; two is 1,000, and ten prepaid 5,000. The month is two sessions a day across 25 days. Rooms are priced in US dollars, from 51.56 a night twin share and 75 single, each including two meals and two sessions a day. Unless you live in Thailand the camp will not let you train here while staying somewhere else, so the room is not optional.

Against the country

Each line runs from the cheapest figure listed camps print for that rate to the dearest, with Luktupfah Muay Thai marked above the line, Sitsongpeenong below it and the stretch between them inked. In baht, Luktupfah Muay Thai first, then Sitsongpeenong: one group session at 500 and 600, 100 apart inside a run of 550 that 31 of 44 listed camps print. Rates only one of the two publishes are left out, because a line carrying one mark says nothing about two camps.

They quote the same figure on 2 lines: sessions a day and rooms on site.

What we cannot tell you yet

Neither camp has been confirmed on the lines below, so this page does not compare them. They are named rather than left off, because a comparison that only shows the fields it happens to hold is the shape of a page pretending to be complete.

In their own words

What each camp is

Luktupfah Muay Thai

A Bangkok school that teaches Muay Boran and Krabi Krabong alongside Muay Thai and certifies krus, which makes it the one camp on this list where the draw is the older material rather than a fight team. Two group sessions a day out in Prawet, rooms on site, and the traditional courses sold as private or course blocks rather than drop in.

The full record for Luktupfah Muay Thai

Sitsongpeenong

A Bangkok gym with a real stable of professional Thai fighters rather than a foreigner-first operation. Training alongside working pros is the draw. Expect to be the weakest person in the room for a while, which is the point.

What people ask about Luktupfah Muay Thai and Sitsongpeenong

Every figure below is read off the two records at build time rather than written by hand, so a question neither camp has published anything behind is left out instead of answered softly.
Is Luktupfah Muay Thai or Sitsongpeenong cheaper?
Luktupfah Muay Thai, on the line most trips are booked on. A single group session is 500 baht there against 600 baht at Sitsongpeenong, a gap of 100 baht. A cheaper month is not a cheaper trip. Food, a room where the camp has none and the flight home all sit outside these figures, and a camp that is 2,000 baht dearer a month is the cheaper of the two the moment it saves you a daily taxi.
What is the difference between Luktupfah Muay Thai and Sitsongpeenong?
One of the 3 lines both camps publish comes out different: a single group session. They match on how many sessions a day run and whether there are rooms on site. Luktupfah Muay Thai publishes a private session and whether beginners are taken, and Sitsongpeenong publishes a month of unlimited training. What separates two camps on the mats is the trainer you get put with, and no camp publishes that. Use the lines above to cut the list down, then ask both.
Is Luktupfah Muay Thai or Sitsongpeenong better for a beginner?
Only one of them is placed either way. Luktupfah Muay Thai reads as a fit for a beginner and Sitsongpeenong publishes nothing we could read it from, so its line stays blank rather than get a guess. That is a call made at a desk from what each camp publishes about who it trains, not a verdict from the mats. A gym built around a fight team will take a beginner's money and leave them holding pads at the back for a month, so ask both how a first session actually runs before you book either.
Can you stay at Luktupfah Muay Thai or Sitsongpeenong?
Both. Luktupfah Muay Thai and Sitsongpeenong each say on their own site that you can sleep at the camp. Neither nightly rate is published, so the room line stays blank rather than get estimated off camps elsewhere that do print one. Staying in means the commute stops being a decision you make twice a day at five in the morning, which matters more than the saving on most trips shorter than a month.
How many sessions a day do Luktupfah Muay Thai and Sitsongpeenong run?
The same number. Luktupfah Muay Thai and Sitsongpeenong both run 2 sessions a day. That is how many are on offer and not how many anybody should plan on taking. A timetable says when the door is open; how many times you walk through it is most of the difference between a training holiday and a camp, and a first week of doubles is how people spend a second week injured.
How far apart are Luktupfah Muay Thai and Sitsongpeenong?
About 4.3 km in a straight line, measured between the two pins rather than along a road, so a motorbike covers more ground than that and traffic decides the rest. Both camps sit in Bangkok. That is a ride rather than a walk, so trying both in one trip means picking a base and paying to cross, or splitting the stay in two.

Every figure on this page came off a camp’s own website. Luktupfah Muay Thai was read on 2026-10-14 and Sitsongpeenong on 2026-09-02. Camps change prices without changing the page the price is printed on. If one of these is wrong, or if you know a line neither camp publishes, tell us and we will date the change.
